Haiku Challenge – Cobwebs

Here are my efforts for TJ’s weekly haiku challenge – https://amaviedecoeurentier.wordpress.com/2015/08/29/tjs-household-haiku-challenge-cobweb/ . “Cobwebs” is such a rich prompt word. Hope you enjoy ๐Ÿ™‚

Brisk walk on the beach
By daylight’s sluggish greeting
Blows out the cobwebs

Lurking in corners
Dusty cobwebs tell a tale:
Here there be ghosties!

Hedgerow spiderwebs
Glistening and shimmering
Draped in midnight dreams

  1. I’d have to agree: the 3rd is my favorite.

I appreciate what spiders do, but I can’t stand them either. We’ve got a scary @ssed spider our the sliding glass door of the dining room. It’s about 4-5 cm long and the abdomen is hugely round. Freaks me out.

    • That’s Shelob size as far as I’m concerned! I remember a comedian did a routine a few years ago on spiders. There are the small ones you hit with the slipper/catch in a glass and free (as per preference). There are the larger ones that you lock in a room and don’t use that room again. And then there are the beasts that mean you need to move house immediately… Not sure which category yours is in, but it’s not the first one!
