For Throwback Thursday, some thoughts on death and dying…
One day Death will come
She’ll lead me by the hand
Across the threshold to the Never
And in her light I’ll stand.
Do not mourn my passing
For She must come to us
Whether we rot from cancer
Or are struck down by a bus.
I know not how I’ll pass
That is the price of living
Knowing that what lives must die
For She is unforgiving.
I hope you’ll light a candle
Remember me once in a while
I have loved, and been loved.
I can greet her with a smile

I’ll drink the beer that I have saved and have a grand release
of
tears on your grave!
what? what? what on earth were YOU thinking…

That was both beautiful and sad. Geez…is 11:30am too early to drink? 😉

Depends… I think it’s allowed on Christmas Day, and your birthday. Is it your birthday? 😉

I think I need it more when I’m depressed than when it’s my birthday…which it isn’t. 😉 If I had a lemon-lime soda in the house, I’d make myself a shandy right about now. Heh!
