Always by my side,
My constant companion…
Except when charging
This is today’s contribution to two separate challenges. This is my first day on the Writing 201: Poetry course. The prompt there was for something about “screens” or modern devices, combined with a haiku style, and alliteration.
The prompt for OctPoWriMo – a challenge to write a poem a day during October – was “love”. I think this covers all bases, but let me know what you think in the comments below 🙂
You can sign up for OctPoWriMo at any time during the month, or just check out the prompts and tips if you prefer – http://www.octpowrimo.com/

A case of battery, eh?

That reminds me – have you seen the amended version of Maslow’s hierarchy of needs? The modern version has battery and wi-fi added at the base of the pyramid… there’s some truth in that!

I’m sorry, I approve NO alteration of MHoN unless CHOCOLATE is in there, somewhere…

At every level, from a basic chocolate bar to an exquisite chocolate dessert at a fine restaurant…

Um, I have a portable battery so it’s always by my side even when charging 😀
Great one, entertaining!

Hah! Sadly, it’s true. :} The title also reminds me of the David Bowie song.

I was a bit miffed with the title tbh… Realised yesterday I’d inadvertently used the who, what, when words this month, and wanted to keep the sequence going. It just didn’t fit, sadly!

Interesting haiku Al. I see another take, you and your love of your life until a credit card has to come out then , “where did they go”?

Ha ha! That would work too!

Ah yes, the love between a modern person and her phone. Mine is pressed against my face while I’m typing. Of course, I’m doing something unusual…actually talking on it.

Talking? I didn’t know you could use them for that… 😉
