Ronovan’s haiku prompts this week – “life” and “give” – have brought out a stream of haiku from me on love and death. I hope you enjoy them 🙂
#1
My greatest regret:
I’ve only one life to give,
To service your love
#2
I’d give everything;
Heart’s lock, life’s joys, soul’s sunshine,
For just one more day
#3
Life is for giving:
Share your tender heart wisely
And you shall receive
#4
No more days to give…
I’ll greet death with a smile
For this gift of life
#5
When life’s revels end,
Regrets are for the death-bed,
But give them lightly
#6
My final moments
No more pain shall I suffer.
The night’s bird takes flight
They’re all great but I think number 2 is my favourite

Thanks Richard… I think these could almost be a Rorschach test, and tell me about the characters of those who prefer each one… 🙂

*sniffle* These reminds me of the Doctor Who episode this past weekend…

I stopped watching after the Dalek episode at the start of the series… not for any strong reasons, it all just feels a little same-y, and a bit of a waste of Peter Capaldi (who I think is amazing…. even if he is the spitting image of my uncle!)

That’s hilarious that your uncle and Peter Capaldi look like each other! Well, maybe one day when you’re bored, you can binge watch all the episodes of the 12th Doctor. 😉

Oh, I am SO SORRY–my brain is malfunctioning in the comment dept. Please forgive me?? I still loved your work, as always… (sheepish)

No forgiveness needed – easily done! (Ronovan is the first word in my post, for one thing) 🙂

Maybe that’s what caught me up, and sometimes I try to go too quickly through my “blog duties”–also, it’s Thanksgiving week here, so I’m eager to get in the kitchen. You’re very kind to be so tolerant of an old gal, squinting and trying to keep up–Bless you!!

I really like #3. And as for #1, I know it may seem silly, but I respectfully disagree. We have many lives to give to our loved ones 🙂
And I like the ones on death. Yes, we shouldn’t have too many regrets!

You are so good at these Al! They are all brilliant, but I think my favourite is the second one 🙂
