Trust in your instincts
Sensing the progress you make
Step by awkward step

I wrote this in reply to Annette’s soulful haiku yesterday – https://annetterochelleaben.wordpress.com/2016/01/12/soul-to-sole/ – thought I’d share it here too 🙂
Great playing footsie with you! 😉

Always a pleasure 🙂
For the record, two people have inspired me to immediately write a poem in the last week. You are the second. Billy Collins was the first. Not bad company 🙂

Elbow to elbow with some most inspiring folks here – and they say, I don’t know how to live… 🙂

I am good at awkward steps, not so great at making progress! I love those little multi coloured feet! 🙂

Those awkward steps may not feel it, but they ARE progress! 🙂

Great haiku Al, is this resolution 1 for 2016?

A mantra, maybe – no resolutions for me this year!

My resolution is , no resolutions.

There’s a great line in a John Hegley poem:
I believe that rules are there to suggest the possibility of breaking them,
but I don’t believe that rules are made to be broken
because that’s another rule
I have the same feeling about resolutions 🙂

I was born a socialist and Collingwood supporter Al. The first one you will be familiar with the second one needs www searching if you need new knowledge, Collingwood Football Club, both lean to resolving never to make resolutions!! And I like the sound of John Hegley, a socialist perhaps?

I think he’d accept that description 🙂

Well he has been to Melbourne Al, I am pretty sure he is the John Hegley who did stuff at our world renowned Melbourne Comedy Festival back a bit, now that is another good reason to include Melbourne in a visit to Australia.(most comedians are devout socialists I believe)
