Trying to read the signs
Washed across your sky
Desperate for some insight:
The truth within the lie
Those wispy, wandering clouds
Reflect away your light
Conceal the burning heart of you,
Bring about your night
Fleeting touches aren’t enough
I’m always craving more
Yet every time you disappear
I end up on the floor
The pattern’s set, the dance goes on,
So here I sit and cry
Trying to read those signs
Washed across your sky

Wow, that’s a lovely thing to say. The wells of that gift have been feeling a little dry lately! ❤ ❤ ❤

Not even close! I sit in awe sometimes at you writer friends of mine wondering why you are so hard on yourselves! As a rabid fan, I can see how deep the river runs and know that it make take turns now and then but it always, always produces life.

That’s a wonderful way of looking at it. What would we do without such rabid fans?! 😀

Al Lane, I would like take a few minutes of your time and ask for your addition to project Peace. I promise you that this is neither a scam, spam or ploy of any false kind. I and a few other writers/artists/poets from WordPress have been asked to participate in this collaboration and now we are asking you for contribution as well. Please.
We have 140 contributions to date, and I am trying again to rope in as many contributors to the Poets for Peace challenge (in place until this the end of August). The many voices in response to this have been fantastic, and I’d love you to add yours (again, if applicable) if you can. Feel free to use an existing piece of writing or a new one asking for peace and/or about the troubled times in which we live.
If you are interested, please leave your poem in the comments section of Neha’s blog and it will be added.

Thanks Frank. I think within every credible lie there is a truth, at some level
