This is the blog of a woman who is seriously on the edge and I mean right ON the edge…no, not there… just a little bit further… further than that…no, further still…just a tiny bit more… just move slightly to the right a little…no, that’s too much…just move a tad to the left…that’s right, just there…now you’ve moved too far to the left… Damn, what part of the ‘on the edge’ do you not understand? Oh, and her matricidal boy genius, come devil spawn.

So melancholy. Some years are like that. I hope the next is reflected on with a smile. 🙂

Reflection can have that affect, can’t it?

Eloquent. It does remind me of those times of driving “on vapors” wondering if I can drive the miles before the next gas station, psyching myself for a long walk in inclement weather, each mile the car drove seen as a mile not had to be walked, and then when it seems as if there could reasonably no more vapors left, the engine still running, although coughing, sputtering, the car slides into the pump, just as the last of the improbable vapors are used.

That’s a fair metaphor for the way I greeted the end of last year… spluttering to the pump. Here’s to the new page
