Ha ha! I’m not going to say… I’ve been working on the “which hand is it in” trick with my 3-year old. It’s so funny watching him try it with things that don’t even fit in his hand, and obviously throwing things behind him with no attempt at subtlety!

I love watching kids attempt magic. I bought a kit for my oldest years ago, and hilarity ensued. Lately, my 5-year-old is working on pulling things out of people’s ears. Not much better than yours, I imagine, in her illusion attempts. It’s too great. 🙂

how do things work there? is there unemployment pay or severance pay from your job? or you are just SOL? if I’m not being too nosy, of course…

Took me a while to work out SOL, but that’s me!… had to quit my job with no notice and no severance… am currently on unemployment benefits of £70 a week ($100)… not that they’ve started being paid yet

I had to edit out far more blunt comments that I’d put about why I left my last job… thought I’d better not put them on a public site! Rest assured I’m not happy about it, but sometimes you’ve just got to put things behind you and move on, move forward 🙂

Since I’ve read that limericks are “supposed to be humorous”, I’d probably agree that you’re a limerick king–and this one is quite delightful. I’ve done only a handful of limericks, some of them humorous–but at least a couple, like the most recent posted one, are more serious (maybe some very dry wry humor, so subtle it won’t make folks laugh…).
